Stellan Marklund: Formation and degradation mechanisms of PCDD, PCDF PCB and HCB in thermal processes

The formation and degradation of POPs (persistent organic pollutants) in thermal processes are studied during controlled conditions in a laboratory reactor.

Stellan MarklundThe reactor is built to perform with well defined combustion conditions and most parameters can be varied to simulate different types of combustion. The fuel can be biofuel, waste or specific mixtures Both ashes and flue gases can be studied.
